LPG - New Age Systems?
March 29, 2008 |
We all know that the rising price of fuel is effecting our lives and businesses none more so than our Transport fleets. Many are finding that the cost of fuel is so bad they struggle to make even the smallest profit.Although there has been many LPG systems currently operating on motor vehicles for at least the last three decades. Very little attention was paid to the heavy haulage applications but one company is prepared to change all that.
We all know that the rising price of fuel is effecting our lives and businesses none more so than our Transport fleets. Many are finding that the cost of fuel is so bad they struggle to make even the smallest profit. Although there has been many LPG systems currently operating on motor vehicles for at least the last three decades. Very little attention was paid to the heavy haulage applications but one company is prepared to change all that. Green Fuel Systems International (GFSI) has design and developed what is claimed to be the most advance diesel LPG system in the world. The system uses LPG as an additive to increase the combustion of the diesel. This in turn provides better mileage and lower emissions. Spokesman for GFSI Mark Kilburn explains, “We have been providing the diesel additive system to a select number of road transport operations for a number of years now with great success. We believe it is now time the whole transport industry needs to take full advantage of benefits our product has to offer. We have seen the average road transport operator reduce his fuel bill by 15% or more. Add this with emission reductions achieved by burning less diesel and you can see the potential for community is enormous.” Unlike many other companies Green Fuel Systems International also has another enormous advantage over its competitors when designing new equipment for commercial operations. They are able to call upon the extraordinary engineering talents of CSMU technologies a sister company which is designing equipment for both the commercial and military aerospace industry. Mr. Kilburn stated, “We have a very bright group personnel at our disposal but this extends far beyond our doors. GFSI is always committed to using the expertise of local companies in every product we design, produce and or sell” Green Fuel Systems International has also been conducting both internal and external research into applying its now well respected Dual Phase Induction System (DPIS) to the commercial maritime sector. The commercial fishing environment is probably the harshest conditions that any product or system could be exposed to. They are of the firm belief their new age LPG system can help all diesel applications plus will shock governments around the world into action if they are indeed serious about reduce greenhouse emissionsMr. Kilburn said, “GFSI is well underway to delivering exactly what the maritime industry needs and will shortly conduct sea trials using its new marine electronics package manufactured with the help of Steel River Manufacturing in Newcastle. GFSI has been extremely lucky informing this partnership with S.R.M as they are specialists in circuit board manufacturer and assembly, so our end product will be fit for purpose” Green Fuel Systems International has informed us that their Marine Diesel LPG System (MDLS) should be in full production by June this year. So it looks like the future will become a lot brighter for those into freight transport or commercial fishing who are now suffering due to the ongoing fuel price hikes.
