GM price up 2008 Tahoe and Yukon hybrid SUV’s
November 27, 2007 |
“We promised to apply our most advanced technologies to vehicles that
can save the most fuel, and we are delivering on that promise with the
Tahoe and Yukon Hybrid SUVs,”
..that’s according to General Motors vice chairman Bob Lutz, speaking in LA today as GM announced the price tags on its new hybrid SUV’s for 2008.
The full-size Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon are both big on looks and size but small in carbon-footprint with a similar fuel economy to that of a conventional saloon.
These big trucks can seat up to 8 people and include all of the comforts we’ve grown to expect like heated seats, navigation system, rearview cameras (you’ll need it!), sound courtesy of Bose, stability control, cruise control, side steps, 18″ alloywheels and a full range of safety features… the list is long.

So, big, comfortable and (relative to their SUV brothers and sisters) very, very green… what’s the catch I hear you say? Well, both models are available in 2WD or 4WD with the Tahoe coming in at $50,490 and $53,295 respectively. Its GMC cousin is set to be priced at $50,945 and $53,755 for the 2WD and 4WD as before.
If you like to park a big car in your drive but you’ve been having problems with your enviro-conciousness..these trucks could be just what you’re after.
